magic liquid

May 5, 2009

I don’t know if it’s the London hard water, or the weather (or actually the limescale that lodged on my shower head…ew I know), but my skin always acts up here.

I have super-sensitive skin, and am prone to allergies (bye bye lobster) which is weird because none of my family members have that problem. When I was younger, I would get pimples here and there and I would use that as an excuse not to go to school. HAHAHAHA. And yes, I stand by that. My daughters will LOVE me.

Anyway, as I grew older, I started to realise if I keep this not-going-to-school-everyday habit up, I would never graduate from high school. So I started finding solutions. And finally found one magic liquid; the concealer. That’s right, I started using it at the age of 12, and we have had a very strong relationship ever since.

Thank god I don’t get pimples anymore (only once a month, which I take to be a kind reminder to buy some pads), but I do get bumps which is due to allergic reactions and mostly dry patches. My skin is super dry, so I tend to rely on moisturisers a lot, especially in London.

In KL, I don’t, because to add moisturiser would just turn me into a human mirror; you can almost see your reflection on my face. KL weather is good to my skin, somehow. But when I come back to London, omg, I usually stay home for the first couple of days to let my skin accept the change of environment.

Anyway, I came back to London a few weeks ago after the Easter break and my skin was so dry and flaky. Then, Godmother Stella introduced me to another magic liquid.

I’ve been using it daily now for a few weeks and I’m telling you IT WORKS. I saw results in just a few days. My skin is a lot smoother now and I don’t have dry patches anymore.

It doesn’t work alone though. You still need to wear your moisturiser on top of it.

It’s not even that expensive. I forgot how much it cost, but it is definitely worth every penny.

If you have sensitive skin like me, I highly recommend this product.

I think nice skin is so important in us females, and definitely reflects our lifestyle, health and cleanliness. Unless you’re a messy filthy person with good genes, in which case, you should stop reading this and go kiss your parent’s feet.

I think I know why my skin is so sensitive; lack of vegetables. Hehe. But because I’m so stubborn and I won’t eat vegetables, whatever I lack, I will make up with tons of chemicals. Sigh, I should really start eating vegetables huh?

Because now I have my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. 🙂

I found love.
