nothing is free
August 16, 2009PETRONAS made an ad listing out names of people in the Star newspaper today.
I thought it was a list of people who’ve made outstanding performances or won some awards or something.
I looked closely and realised it was the opposite.
They were actually names of people who have not paid off their student loans!!
For PETRONAS to reveal their identities in such an embarrassing way, it must be a very serious case. I doubt this was the first or second warning. I’m sure they’ve tried to contact these people countless times, but to no avail.
Dodging payment is one thing. But how can you have a blessed career out of a sponsored education, when you haven’t paid your dues? It’s nice enough that a company was willing to sponsor you, so you should show appreciation by fulfilling your obligations towards them; whatever the terms of the contract stated.
I know some people might not afford to pay or have financial problems, but keeping mum about it is not the smartest thing to do. At least let PETRONAS know your predicament, so both parties can work out something sensible.
nobody wants to comment on this?! well i’ll kick it off by saying shame on you ungrateful beings!
yeap.. shame on you… tak sedar dek untung! hik
my feelings exactly! i was wondering why no one commented on this…maybe it’s a sensitive issue?
I totally agree! They can take a loan but can’t be bothered to pay back? Such shameful behaviour, they deserve their names published in the paper!
