a little goes a long way

My heart goes out to the Haitian victims. Can you imagine having everything good going on in your life, and one day, lose it all? Just like that!

I watched this video after seeing it in the news. Wyclef Jean talks about relocating them out of their place. Do you think that’s the right thing to do? Or would it be better to rebuild what was damaged and keep them in their own home?

What struck me the most were the negative comments from this video, slamming Wyclef as a hypocrite and a thief and a fake. It might or might not be true, but it definitely made me realise the possibility of dishonest charities. How do you know that the money you donate go to the victims and not to the pockets of the organisers?

If any of you know certified charity organisations to help the Haitian victims, please share the links here so we can all do our part, small or big.

Quoting one of the comments,

You’re right the least anyone can do is pray for the Haitian people, try something useful, praying may make you feel better but it’s not going to do a darn thing for the woman trying to feedο»Ώ her child or the Doc trying to save the endless stream of broken people, give something besides empty platitudes.
