A new Gucci flagship store opened in Singapore last month, over 10,000 square feet of awesome-ness designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini. Lucky Singaporeans!
In honour of Giannini, Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore Botanic Gardens named a hybrid orchid after her and called it the Pavaranda Frida.
Giannini created a collection inspired by the orchid, gorgeous limited edition pieces SOLD EXCLUSIVELY IN SINGAPORE and nowhere else in the world. This collection arrived in stores earlier this month.
100% of the sales of the Boston bags is going to a charity in Singapore called Mainly I Love Kids (MILK), which is dedicated to helping underprivileged children in Asia. I thought that was a very very nice thing for Gucci to do, to channel a fraction of their profit to a worthy cause.
The Paravanda Frida Applique Limited Edition Boston bag is soooo pretty! It has 3D leather orchids all over it and crocodile leather handles. The downside of it is that there are ONLY 10 in the whole world and unfortunately have all been swept off by 10 lucky ladies.
I managed to get my hands on the other bag, The Paravanda Frida Special Edition Boston bag though. Gucci only made 78 pieces of it and each comes with a number from 1-78. I got number 34, but that’s the least of my concern really; nobody’s going to see it except you since it’s on the inside. Unless I have the No 1, then I’d probably walk around with the bag inside out. Haha.
When I first saw the bag, I did a double take. I want it I want it I want it, was the only thing that came to mind. White, pink and green?!! What a sweet and elegant combination!! It was definitely love at first sight.
