breathless
April 4, 2010At the age of 10, my girlfriends and I were swapping Sweet Valley Kids books.
At the age of 15, my girlfriends and I were gushing about that cute new boy in school.
At the age of 19, my girlfriends and I were discussing career paths and how sucky our final exams went. (And at times of frustration: how it’s perfectly ok to drop out of uni and beg on the streets….career schameer)
Now in our 20s, we’re discussing wedding themes! Doesn’t matter whether or not we are attached to the perfect man or not, as long as we’ve got our dresses, our flowers, our cakes all sorted out.
The man? Yeah, whatever, when we find him, he’ll just sit on the chair and smile.
I swear I’m not crazy, but I’ve been buying Preston Bailey’s wedding planning books and tabbing.
I’m NOT getting married anytime soon (where are you going, stop running Dean…), but you know how a girl plans her wedding 10 years before… hehe… So technically, I’m really behind on this.
Oh shoosh, I like my logic.
Anyway, just LOOK at his creations and tell me you don’t want this for your wedding.
These are my favourites:
Something fresh for engagement
Something white and sweet for solemnization
Something classy and romantic for the reception
I SWEAR I’M NOT CRAZY. I’M JUST A GIRL, OK?
While I was at it, I was planning on the design for my room in the new house. OMG all these fantasies and princess-y dreams popped into my head. I want my room to be gorgeous!!
Wardrobe / dressing room / lounge / hangout area for my girlfriends. I want a soft carpeted room, with nice lighting and maybe some pink accents.
(Toots pointed out the coffin on the left. Was too engrossed in my daydream to notice the coffin!)
Love this colour combo; light green and beige
This is pretty cool, but I think I’d be too scared to go into my toilet…you know, in case I see other faces looking back at me. *Shivers*
OK, BACK TO REALITY NOW.
Hahaha i’m sure dean is not easily intimidated pd. And all the pictures are gorgeous.
awwwww~~~i love it~~~
crazy…….
If I were Dean, which I’m not, I would like to have more input on how OUR wedding and OUR future home would look like. It certainly has to have a tv/game/afternoon nap room maybe with an anime theme. And it seems like Dean is the kind of person who just wants a simple reception in the countryside with a simple setting. Less money on the wedding, more money to spend on the honeymoon is what I think Dean would think of.
Again, I’m not Dean, I just think like him.
wow, Not Dean, I think you hit the nail on the head. I do want all those things and I can feel you going through the same thing. If you have a gf, I hope she reads all this and realizes what you really want and what’s important. The tv/game/afternoon nap room is especially important. Guys like us only want to be happy with our other halves without the glamour.
nice try.
hahahahahahahahahha.. funny..
hahahahahahahahha!!dean..nice try!!:):):)

enjoy!
Every girl dreams about her wedding day whether they admit it or not. We’re just ‘cool’ enough to tell the whole world how crazy we are =P
Hahaha. But NOT DEAN, in our Malay culture, don’t we have two receptions? The girl’s side and the guy’s side? Of course V can use one of these settings for her side of the wedding.. And about the future home, you can always opt out for his and her powder room.. or his and her side of the house! Haha.
never heard of Preston Bailey before but seeing the design and concept of a wedding from the picture u posted , now i know where Nas Great Ideas get his inspiration from =).
I would say his creation is close to Preston Bailey’s.
You can google him to check out his creation or probably have him for your big day.
hahaha..Dean and Not Dean are hilarious! PD, i’m so very sure your wedding will be heavenly..what kind of girl doesnt dream about her wedding? 🙂
i luv wedding preparation…so exciting!
(darn, i’m married…can i re-married with my husband? hahaha! just to wear the latest design in the market…)
you’re right! you are behind with your wedding plans! I started planning my wedding when I was about five. and I still can’t decide what dress I should wear or wether I should have a spring wedding or a summer wedding.
I don’t have a groom either, but hey! All he’s gotta do is smile and dance with me.
by the way, all those pictures are gorgeous! now I really wish I had a groom somewhere. oh, well… I can still daydream, can’t I?
