TLC Series: The launch….
July 9, 2010Continuation from the previous TLC Series post
TLC Promise Me pledge programme was launched by Dato’ Seri Shahrizat last Monday.
They played the video again and I wanted to cry… again!
This one cheeky little boy in front wishes for a squad of soldiers to parade in front of Rumah Aman.
Dato’ Seri Shahrizat’s response, “Errr I will speak to the Minister of Defence!”
So cute!!!

Ok, I shall reveal my pledge now (even though you would’ve found out on the TLC promise me website and Nuffnang website too! pfttt)
I pledged to fulfil the wish of Madam Chan from NASAM (National Stroke Association Malaysia) Ampang.
Her wish is…..
To…..
Go…..
SHOPPING.
Hahhahahahaha. WEEEEEEE!!!!!!
How fun is that for the BOTH of us?!!
I smell a new BFF.
I can’t wait to meet her. I haven’t met her yet, but have spoken to her daughter. We shall be meeting for the first time next week!
For the next couple of weeks, I have planned fun outings for Madam Chan.
But if any of you would like to support me, or give me suggestions on where to go and what to do, pls do leave a comment for me to give the best to Madam Chan.
shopping?omg matchmade in shopaholic heaven!!i suggest you do something relaxing at the end of the shopping trip.facial maybe?owh aaand include awesome food in ur plan as well!why am i so excited haha
hi pd,
my family were (and still are!) firm supporters of NASAM so im so happy that you’ve chosen to fulfill madam chan’s pledge. do check if her stroke has made her semi paralyzed for we find that its sometimes not the inability to go shopping/find a good place to shop per se, but rather its inaccesibility, not many places are wheelchair friendly!
do keep us updated!
oh pd. i just realize your eyes are so big!!! @_@
Hi pd, u r so. Preetty. May i suggest U giving make up tutorials..
It might be good to plan the route beforehand Vivy, and to be aware how Madam Chan gets around normally (ie how much mobility she has). Some shopping centres/department stores have very narrow aisles that may not really cater to wheelchair bound people, and you want to make sure there’s lift access et cetera. It can be very tiring as well, so try and find out how much activity Madam Chan usually does and try and keep that in mind.
Asides from that, you go girl. 🙂
