I mean, sorry…but the new Sophie Kinsella book is out.
MINI SHOPAHOLIC!!!!
When I saw this at the bookstore, I swear I did a double take so hard I thought I broke my neck. I grabbed the book so quick as if I was scared there wouldn’t be any left for me!
There was no one to celebrate with so I started jumping slightly and saying “Oh my god oh my god oh my god” all the way to the counter to pay.
I almost didn’t want to go back to the office! I wanted to go home and start reading NOW. Maybe I’ll take a really long toilet break in the office…., I kept thinking.
Sadly, gone were the days when I could finish reading a book in a day. It took me a week or so to finish this Mini Shopaholic because I was so busy with other things. I had to read this book in the car rides all the way up north and back (and I actually HAVE motion sickness….Things I do for you, Sophie Kinsella).
Anyway, I have read it all and I loved it!! It’s hilarious!!!! As usual, I really have nothing to say about Sophie Kinsella except that she’s the most awesomEST author alive.
The book introduced us to two year old Minnie, Becky Bloomwood’s daughter who has traits just like her mom (I’m sure you would’ve guessed by the title). But really, the focus of the book is on how Becky plans a surprise party for husband Luke and the funny things that happen to make it go haywire. Some things were a bit unrealistic and I still don’t know what happened in the end with the Bank of London fiasco. But who cares, anyway…I just wished one of the things that happened in the end with a certain someone didn’t have to end that way, although I can see why Kinsella did it that way (You’ll know what I mean once you read it!).
This book really is brilliant, but compared to the other equally brilliant Kinsella books, I have to admit this wasn’t the best. ONLY by Sophie Kinsella standards!! On normal average chiclit standards, this book is still super awesome.
So go buy it quick so we can talk about it!
The only thing I’m super upset about after finishing the last page is that I have no more new Kinsella books to read. In fact, in hindsight, I should’ve read this book really realllyyyy slowly until another new Kinsella book comes out. Like seriously, one word a day or something.
OK, I better call Dean now before he thinks he’s single. I have to do some damage control, but come onnnn, I know not to call him when whatever Cup is on.
As for you, Ms. Kinsella, please don’t ever get up from your writing/typing desk.
oh my GODDDDDD! i didnt realize it’s out already! they said the book will be on the shelf officially on September 16! i thought i was being smart by purchasing it online at MPH. pscfttt!!

but the best book by her is “can u keep a secret” hehe
Can You Keep a Secret is the best, and Remember Me? is the worst. Haha. Because till the last page, she didnt remember who she was back then.
‘whatever Cup’
hahahah.
I wonder if her books are really as good as people say they are. I really dislike chick lit though. =/
OMG! Since when it was out???
Arrgh i’m running to get it first thing after work Tmrw. 😛 can’t wait can’t wait.

but now, just like u, since i have my little angel with me,its impossible to finish reading in a day anymore, believe it or not, i got my mini shopaholic as soon as they hit the store, but till now i’m still reading…so bad kan? but on the other hand i have to change diaper n breastfeeding my baby…eh! alasan!;)
