the adult eraser

December 6, 2010

I am usually a morning person, but lately the thing I hate most in life is my alarm clock. When it’s time to wake up, I curse everything around me. Last week, I was sooo sleepy that I put soap in my hair and shampoo-ed my body!! Thank God I didn’t put my facial wash on my toothbrush. That would’ve been suicidal.

I went to the office and people just stared.

One colleague opened her mouth, “Ohmagawd, you look like…death…”

Super mean. I haven’t bothered wearing make-up much to work (some days are a waste of make up!) and my skin has been veryyyy dull due to lack of sleep. Oh and my eyebags…Sometimes when I laugh, you can’t even see me eyes. It’s just two big bags.

Just look at that dark bulge under my eyes!!

*hides under stairs*

Was reading through some reviews on surgical facelifts and stuff. NOT DOING IT, just researching to see what the craze is all about. A friend owns a clinic in Indonesia and they have this surgical procedure to insert a thread underneath your cheekbones and actually pull it from the inside of your skin, to lift your face. Then the thread just stays underneath your skin for a few months.

Just thinking about it makes my face twitch.

Immense pain, no thanks!

But I still needed a pick-me-up for my face.

So, as I was reading KampungBoyCityGal’s blog, I was tempted to try her Olay Regenerist range too.

From her blog,

“How does it work? Collagen in skin helps to retain skin elasticity and smoothness but it is destroyed in our body as we age. Peptides acts as a messenger to tell your skin it was damaged and to make new collagen. So by applying Olay Regenerating Micro-sculpting Serum onto our face, it “tricks” our skin into increasing its collagen production, and thus it effectively renews the skin from the cellular level and reduces our fine lines and wrinkles.”

I am so lazy to try new facial products but I was near desperate with my dull skin, so what the heck.

Since I can’t afford surgery, thought I’d go the inexpensive (and better!) route by getting me some Olay Regenerist too. Tried it for a few days and I’m quite impressed with the results! *perasan mode a bit*

I do the normal routine: scrub and cleanse. Then I just pile on this Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream.

Did some research: Olay Regenerist has aminopeptide complex containing vitamins and anti-oxidants which renews skin so helps reduce appearance of lines and wrinkles. Also evens out skin tone, boosts skin energy levels, skin renewal and boosts collagen production. SPF 15; Protects from UV ray, leaves skin hydrated and silky smooth.

Foohh.. Quite a lot of benefits in that one jar!!

For full benefits of the cream, I use it with the Serum as well. I like the Serum! It’s lighter than the cream, so it’s nice for day use.

The Olay Regenerist Microsculpting Serum has a high concentration of aminopeptide thingy so I dashed straight for that. If you’re going to do something, might as well go all out with it!

Yeah, we’re young. But with the work stress, food and lifestyle, we’ll be needing facelifts before our wedding day! ☹

I’ve been hiding under sunglasses a lot.

Now I can actually take them off as I’m slowly starting to look normal again. Phew! The hurtful comments have decreased. Haha.

Am gonna recommend this to my Mommy. She’s starting to sag also.

I should try it on Opah right?!!

Ok just kidding. At 89, she’ll have to pull a Heidi Montag! Hehe.
