If you happened to be at Gardens few weeks back, you might have seen a bunch of people look like this.
Gardens GSC Signature cinema to see the new LG Smart 3D TV.
LG launched their Smart 3D TV recently and a lot of Nuffnang bloggers were invited to touch and feel the thin masterpiece.
At first I didn’t wear the glasses, so it was all a big blur to me. Nani was all Whoaaaaaaa and I was a bit lost.
“What do you see, I don’t get it!” I asked her.
“Omg Vivy put on your 3D glasses!” She shoved it to my face.
After blinking a little, I looked up at the TV and went “Whoaaaaaa…..”
Seriously, the sand just comes right at you!!! Nani and I even ducked a little. It was pretty embarrassing until we realized the whole room did the same thing. If aliens saw us, they’d be scratching their heads.
They also put on some K-Pop 3D dance video with hot hot girls, and that’s when Nani and I made our move to the 2nd section in the room; the Discover section.
The largest 3D TV in Malaysia; 72 inches. Dean was so excited, so he enquired about the price. 27K, guys. Wedding present, anyone?
The third section was for hardcore gamers.
This one was so cool! Through 2 glasses, you get 2 screens on 1 screen!! Yes, you read that right. 2 different things can be shown on the same screen, depending on which glasses you look from. Player 1 and Player 2. Clearly I’m not a gamer, so I have no idea. But Dean went Whoaaaaaa at this section. Most guys did.
Then the 4th section. Another game section. It’s kinda like Wii, but it’s 3D so it’s even better!
You actually feel like you’re the actual character in the game. You have to jump and move about to maneuver the character, just like Wii. BUT this time, you actually see the things clearer and if a log is coming at you, you actually feel like the log’s coming at you. You know what I mean?!!!
LG invited people to come and play and the highest score would win something.
Guess who jumped at this opportunity to make fools out of themselves.
These 2 goons who came with me jumped up and down with their 3D glasses while the whole room watched them not get hit by rocks and tree trunks.
I quickly dragged them out of the section once their turn was up. I had to, seriously because Dean and Nani actually wanted to go again! Like unsatisfied children!
We enjoyed competitions, games and the usual mingling around. Met nice bloggers, some new ones and some familiar ones.
We were also served a huge buffet and was spoilt rotten by the guy who kept coming to refill the empty trays. Since it was done in a cinema area, we got to chill in Gold Class while we eat our hearts out. Such high class treatment.
After realizing we couldn’t smuggle any of the TVs out, we left happily with our LG goodie bags. Dean didn’t want to go but it was getting late and I needed to go home before I turn into a pumpkin.
Had so much fun though and Dean even got mistaken for Syafiq Yusof, the film director guy. A couple of people actually went up to him and asked, “Assalamualaikum bro, you Syafiq Yusof eh?” ready with a camera and excited faces. After Dean said no, their faces just fell and they turned away leaving him feeling rejected. So kesian! Haha.
We went home happy that we got to see the coolest LG TV.
Then I got a tweet from a friend from Nuffnang.
“Dean won something!! He won the high score for the game and he missed his prize!”
I froze. Pls no one tell him, no one tell him, no one tell him… pls pls pls. If he knew he won something and I made him leave, I’ll never ever hear the end of it.
“I WON SOMETHING?!!!! I TOLD YOU WE SHOULDN’T HAVE LEFT YET. I HAD A FEELING!! I TOLD YOU!!” Dean turned to me after checking the beep on his phone.
