Sick of us yet? Hehe.
During the honeymoon, Dean and I practically never took off our sunnies. It was nice and breezy, but still the sun was shining brightly on our skin.
It’s very hard for me to get nicely tanned (please excuse that one-time fake tan fiasco), I usually just turn red and I burn for a day or two. But Dean gets proper black. Like hitam ok.
So for the beach, we knew we had to bring a friend along; sunblock!
We wanted the highest possible SPF (yep I learned what SPF meant)
We weren’t going to take any chances here because I had interviews and Dean was going to be on national TV that week we come back from honeymoon. Don’t need to look like we painted ourselves.
We chose this.
Sunplay RM 35.90 at any leading pharmacy.
No stranger to this brand, but this time this new product has been upgraded to a new formula, Solarex-3 technology with a unique 3-in1 defence system; which protects for longer hours, anti-aging formula (need to look forever young – top priority) and it hydrates our skin intensely. On top of that, when I saw that this product has an SPF130PA+++, I was sold! SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. The higher the SPF numbers indicate protection from more rays and longer protection time.
You should also look out for PA in a sunblock. It refers to the amount of protection against UVA rays which is the main cause of skin premature aging. PA rankings are listed as PA+, PA++ or PA+++. The more +’s, the more protection from UVA rays.
SEE HOW MUCH YOU’RE LEARNING?!
Also the texture is very light, which upon application is easily absorbed. I don’t usually like thick creams on me because with our glorious weather, I’ll be sweating icky stuff. Yuck.
So I’m quite happy Sunplay sunblock has a very light feel to it. Almost makes you wanna put more on you because you’re not sure if you’ve put on or not! Not just for vanity purposes, I think it was so important to slap on half a bottle because of all the damaging effects the sun can do to your skin!
See, first day back from Pangkor.
Still as fair as my Chinese girlfriend. *bats eyelashes*
(I’d like to thank my parents for giving birth to me, I’d like to thank Dean for snapping this picture, I’d like to thank my Chinese girlfriend for being a prop for skin comparison, and last but not least, I’d like to thank Sunplay SPF 130 sunblock for shielding me from the burning sun)
So if you’re going on a beach holiday soon (voluntarily….. what is wrong with you?!!) or just doing any outdoor activities, please please please protect your skin and wear sunblock.
