raya pop-up store
August 8, 2012It’s just one of those nights. Everyone’s fast asleep but I just can’t seem to get some shut eye.
So many things have happened in my life and I’m still finding time to blog about them. By the time I get round to it, it’s old news already and I can’t be bothered anymore! Haha.
Anyway, one of them is work. After our honeymoon in Pangkor, Dean and I have gone straight to work and even sidelining our plans to settle in the new home etc. Because Raya season is the peak month for us throughout the whole year and we know we have to work work work. After Raya, Insyaallah we can take it a bit easier and I can start focusing on being a Stepford wife.
Just recently, we received huge rezeki from God and it will lead to a hugeeee expansion of FV. Dean’s sleeping now, even snoring a little, but as I look at him, I can’t help but feel proud. The two of us have come this far, going through ups and downs together as young entrepreneurs. Late nights, tears, blood, sweat… all shared with the team together. Having to learn new things everyday, having to put ourselves out there regardless whether we’re prepared or not, having to manage our tasks, having to combat huge international competitors. And yet, we’re still here and going strong.
Sometimes I just can’t believe that we’re here. God has been so kind to us.
Oh, also! Thank you so so so so much for those of you who made it to FV’s pop-up store last weekend. It was really fun, we played Raya songs full blast, we gave away dates and FV raya packets as part of our doorgift, we met with a lot of moms, husbands and daughters and we launched brands we did not yet have on the website.
12 – 4 pm — we were on our toes nonstop! Customers kept coming in and out constantly. Well done FV team for the awesome teamwork and hardwork! Working on Sunday and then resume on Monday as per normal without any complaints. You guys are the best.
We were all in Raya mode so most of us wore Raya-ish clothes.
Ola earrings, Radzuan Radziwill top and PU3 skirt.
I received a lot of suggestions that FV should do more of these pop-up stores since we have uber loyal customers who just want to come (and hang with the awesome FV team hehe). What do you guys think ok that idea? If we had it on weekdays at night, would you come after work? I’m trying to think to figure out a good system for our dearest FV customers.
Yes pleaseee Vivy, do the pop-up store more often! I’m coming back to Malaysia this weekend for a month summer holiday and I’m realllyy hoping to be able to attend FV pop up store!
There’s so many stuff on FV that I would love to buy, but I’m tahan-ing myself from doing so, because I am afraid that some of the clothes wont fit me perfectly and it’s be such a hassle to return the stuff back all the way from EU to MYS ..
So please! Do plan another pop-up store soon! <3
it’d be such a hassle*
I’m game for a night pop-up π
It only took 3 days for my order to reach Australia (ordered on Friday, received it the next Monday), you guys rock!!! FV has restored my trust on online shopping, good quality items with reasonable price tag and delivery charges too.
memang teringin nak jmpe vivy π
yeah..good teamwork!! all the best for next coming hugeeeee extension , collaboration with other designers maybe π
Yeah vivy please have more pop up stores..i dont mind coming after work..besides meeting the awesome team, we can try on the clothes we want to buy (one of the downsides of buying online)~…=)
so inspired by you two! and your style too!way to go!!
More pop-up store π
Hi Vivy. I kinda like the idea that you guys have this pop up store more often. Weekdays after work is fine with me. Since my office is very near to FV, no problemo. Plus, I came once and was attended by Sara… and that was after work.
Can’t wait for new updates from the FV team. Good luck guys!
COUNT ME IN!!!! =)
my review of the pop-up store;
1. expensive items for what it’s worth (some are definitely unknown local designers) and very limited stocks. saw a few nice items taken by others, but FV team did not replenish the items.
2. only one (or is it 2?) fitting rooms available with only one mirror outside. not everyone is keen to parade outside just to see how the outfit looks like in front of everyone waiting for their turn for fitting rooms.
3. vivy was at the payment counter most of the time (well at least the whole hour we were there). let’s face it .. she’s the face of FV, clients came to also mingle with her.
in conclusion, quite a disappointing event especially in re to the very limited stock and choices ..
dang! i missed it!!! we need a round 2!
http://www.diyanamarissa.com
agreed!!!!btw, you guys tak penat ke??haha! *respect to FV team* I think, maybe you guys can do pop up store..emm…twice a week…maybe on monday and thursday night…or…its up to you on what day you guys want to do…I think its better..(its just my opinion) :))
p/s: lepas ni boleh la selalu jumpa FV team!haha
Setuju sangat..tapi i prefer on weekend.. π
Hi,
May i suggest FV to include clothes for pregnant ladies who dont want to be left out being pretty. Not much designers are willing to design maternity clothes but the demand is huge. N i believe FV can search for the best maternity designers who design not only elegant but practical as well. U guys have such a great taste in choosing!
I would come after work! Suggestion: not on Friday night, usually got more traffic wound Klang valley
I bet that FV team had worked hard to get to this point. Seriously, I do respect all of you for your great work and also your teamwork! Do make more pop up store Vivy! :’) Really looking forward to it.
Hai you! your hubby look likes son of Datuk Yusof Haslam, Faizal Yusof. A lil bit. Just notice about this in some entertainment blogs.
Yup, you should. Some clothes needs to be touched and seen to be appreciated π
On another note, maybe in the future you can add a similar feature like ASOS where they actually have a video of model wearing the clothes and walking on their mini runway?
Like I said earlier, some clothes when you see it on a picture makes you just go ‘mehh….’ but when you actually see it/ see someone else wears them, it can make you go ‘oh yeahh..!’
yes absolutely vivy!
Do it during the holidays please. Whenever FV is having its pop up store I’m always away here in Perth π I just send my mum to go hehe. So sad I’ve missed 2 FV’s popup store already. But yeah pls do more pop up stores in the future so that I’ll be able to go π
Cheers to you & the FV team <3
Agreed with Europe Shopper about the video. Maybe in the future? π
definitely!
I always jump into wariness when I choose my size cos there are times I’m an M and there are times I’m an L… and the shoess!!!! I’m always too scared to choose. So yes, definitely night pop ups are thumbs up. Maybe on Friday so we don’t have to rush to sleep cos we can always wake up late on Saturdays hehe
Yeah.. Support Night PopUp Store.. with the supper. gheee… π
Hi Vivy,
Salam Ramadhan & many congratulations on your wedding. The FV pop-up store is such a great idea but I’ve missed both occasion. It’d be great if you & your team can inform us way way in advance so fashionitas like us could plan our schedule, go for a quick weekend fly out to KL.. just to grab those lovely clothes & meet up the quirky yet fashionable FV team. I’ve made my purchases online, must say, it’s rather difficult the first few times with sizes of the new brands that i’m loving right now. (did make way to see myself the likes of PU3 & Yadotsa and know what fits well) Anyhoo..if your next pop-up store is conveniently timed & easy to get to, I’ll definitely go, inshaAllah. All the best from BSB xxx
yeah! u shud do more often! weehuuu!
Salam sister, What does the Raya Season mean ?
did you see all the men ‘silang tangan’ with blur n sour face, waiting behind their women to finish soping? torture face i tell ya! hehehehe..
