our mornings
December 23, 2013Wearing a headscarf I made, a cardigan given to me by Asma’, necklace from Indonesian brand Cucito and red pants from KITSCHEN, at FashionValet.
I get ready in the morning in my wardrobe (Do you guys remember the third bedroom story and how Dean wanted it to be a study room? As if!) while Dean gets ready in our room. Then when he’s ready he would shout outside the door “What’s taking you so long?!” almost on a daily basis.
He even emailed me this.
Men don’t get it.
Women: get up early, worry about serving our husbands breakfast, then our babies wake up and we spend some time breastfeeding, changing diaper, showering, playing a little bit because they refuse to be put down, then when they’ve napped we start thinking about ourselves. Shower, drying our hair, putting on makeup, figuring out what to wear, putting it on, trying to see which headscarf to match, pinning our headscarf everywhere whilst having to deal with our babies waking up from their nap crying for your attention, whether or not you’ve burned the hashbrowns in the oven, and a husband who is ready and dressed.
Men: wake up, stretch, shower, shouts for wife “Baby, I can’t find my brown pants. Help!”.

So this ootd was just one of those days that I got ready so fast and it pleased Dean very much. It took me a few seconds to put this together and I’m quite happy with the contrasting colours, I had to commemorate it. I wish everyday could be as easy!
Looking good there! May the strength stays, all the best sis 🙂
I so TOTALLY can relate 100%!!!
