I’m so proud of FV because we’re constantly pushing to be different. We may be a small team, but we’re always doing things out of the box. Everyday new arrivals only isn’t enough nowadays! There are so many replicas of FV coming up weekly so we are always pushed to innovate. It’s challenging, I must say, but it’s so so fun. We’re doing more collaborations, more campaigns, more interactive things, and we’re also in the midst of completing our mobile app. Woot woot!
And for this loved up month, we thought let’s do something crazy. We thought about relationships between men and women and how it’s always on the guy to plan a nice dinner, get a nice gift, and get the girl flowers etc etc. How about we change things up a little and this time, we ladies show our men we love them too.
“How do you guys wanna do that?”
“Let’s just go crazy and sell men’s items for our customers to buy for their men.”
“And let’s remove all the women’s items to really have that crazy special though!”
“Yeahhh!! Let this year, be all about them.”
Dean immediately rose from his seat. “I love this idea. Let’s do it.”
And so our fashion buyers went crazy hunting for mens brands and the whole FV team was bustling with the news that we were going to remove all items off the website. We didn’t tell the production team just yet though… didn’t want to freak them out trying to upload all the men’s brands in a few days time. Someone spilled the beans though and our production head was like WHATTTTT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone helped each other. And finally today, we launched the #dontbeselfish campaign on FV. I loved that people were so supportive and wanted to buy something for their men. A t-shirt, a shirt, a bracelet, a cap, a tie, even some grooming and haircut vouchers. Want our men to look the way we want them to? This is the time. Haha.
I slept for 3 hours only last night preparing with production. Our fingers were clicking nonstop on the keyboard trying to catch our deadline that we have promised our customers. In the lift earlier today, I was like a zombie walking in. When the door closed, I just stared at the lift buttons for a few seconds. Then I thought “Why isn’t this lift going up?” only to realise buttons had to be pressed for lifts to work. -__-“
But it’s so worth it because seeing our website have a huge transformation successfully was amazing. Suddenly looked so much nicer with cool caps and models with hot abs.
