final stretch
July 20, 2014Here I am lying on my couch while typing on my laptop awkwardly placed up on my knees.
Too tired to even care to move position. Haha.
So what’s up guys? What have I missed? I miss blogging so much. Work has been crazy but we are at our final stretch so I should be back to normal by Wednesday when courier services stop taking Raya orders. Dean says I’m so sexy these days when I sleep with my mouth open and hands flung in the air and everything. A sight for sore eyes, I’m sure. Haha. #thanksfornotleavingmedearhusband
I’ve been worrying about customers’ parcels and getting everything to get shipped on time and thank God we seem to be on track now. The team has been working around the clock, including me, to rush our beloved customers orders in time. But what’s funny is that I haven’t even had time to think about myΒ own family’s Raya clothes!
Daniel passed Dean and I in the living room, obviously walking wobbling around the table going Ba and Ga and chewing on my phone.
Dean and I laughed looking at him and in a split second we both looked at each other. Both kind of knowing what the other was thinking. Which was, “OMG WE FORGOT ABOUT HIS BAJU MELAYU. OUR SON HAS NOTHING TO WEAR ON RAYA DAY. WE’VE BECOME THOSE HORRIBLE PARENTS WHO WORK ALL THE TIME AND HAVE NO TIME FOR THEIR KIDS.” You know, something along those lines. We both rushed to kiss Daniel out of guilt, which pissed him off because he smacked our faces away. He was having an important call with someone on my phone.
So finally, yesterday night, we drove to our tailor at Jakel and rushed to buy material and make outfits for Daniel and Dean. Totally ignored the only-now-you-want-to-do?-why-don’t-you-just-come-ON-raya-day-itself-to-make-baju-melayu looks from the tailor.
So everything is sorted now phewwww. For me, I’ll just find something on FashionValet to match the boys, obviously.
Hope you guys have sorted your Raya clothes better than we did! For now, happy last 10 days of Ramadhan, may we get to enjoy the goodness that this period offers.
Hi kak vy! Miss your writing. Update more once you’re free ya
haha ur funny. u make me feel less as a horrible mom. hahahahaa
haha i soo can imagine Daniel like u describe..anyways alhamdulillah we (me&hubby) manage to buy our boys a ready made baju melayu. It is easy nowadays that they have every color, size and pattern on rack for us to just simply choose. So fuss free! Just like fashionvalet does for me.. hehe
hahahahahah this post is so funny cos it happens all the time!
vivy, as a back up option maybe you can pop by omar ali at TTDI and get daniel his another baju melayu. i saw so many colours there last week (and of course boys running around with sampin on their heads!).
BTW special shoutout to FV for making my raya shopping so convenient (AGAIN)!
It’s okay.. better late than never Kak Vivy =D
Can’t wait to see pictures of Daniel wearing his baju Melayu.. Wondering if he’s wearing the Telok Belanga or Cekak Musang… =D
Hahahah. this is funny…. Im not planning to buy baju melayu this year as I will, unfortunately, be working on Raya day….too bad huh? but i’ll buy some new clothes la….
hi vivy, may i know when i can get the last batch of Sofina 2.1? can i get it before raya?
Just wanted to say hats off to you and FV team on your hard work during this festive season! π Been reading all sorts of comments on FV’s instagram and can’t imagine the stress you guys are under but salute to such an amazing team π May Allah bless your efforts and give your lives more barakah, amin <3
Hahaha I can imagine the live action show while reading this. It has been hectic for fv lately. Got several raya outfits from fv with duckscarves.I love the quality Vivy. Impeccable. This Ramadhan I have been busy working and really had no time to go shopping. Everything that I bought was through FV.com. Bless your venture and team. You know what, eventhough this Ramadhan the email reply was slightly slower than usual. Not everytime, only once. But I wasn’t worried because I believed ‘Vivy will have everything sorted out in no time’. I waited patiently and then there it was my Poslaju visiting me 3 days in a row.
I saw you that night at Jakel! You are soo petite Vivy and Daniel is just…T_T. Wanted to say hi so bad like “hi, I am your reader yada yada” but figured that could be awkward and prolly disturbing you. Selamat Hari Raya in advanced Vivy!
I miss your post so much. Its not easy to be a working mom kan? So many things to do at so little time. Pejam celik dah anak setahun dah anak dua tahun. Yg perit stretchmark still there. So daniel dont complain if you dont get your baju raya! Mama got all covered with the tiger strip you’ve caused. Just kidding! Love you
im too busy with work during the day end up i dont have new baju for raya.
FV still accept orders? >.<
