Idris was a name I wanted for so long but had two girls instead haha. Finally I have my own Idris, named after our Prophet Idris a.s. When I saw that he introduced reading and writing to mankind, I was like SOLD! This boy's gonna do book reviews as soon as he can read. 😜
My little Idris, may you grow up to emulate the good traits that our Prophet had and may you always be in the protection of Allah swt's love and barakah. May you also always sleep through the night cos Mommy's eyebags are not funny. I love you so much already, my son. ❤

For first time moms, just FYI, after you give birth, your tummy doesn't just go flat again. You'll have a pooch like you're 5 months pregnant so don't be shocked ok. Just to manage your expectations because I totally cried the first time looking at it. It's not a twin they forgot to take out, don't worry. 😅 It's just extra flabs that you gotta work hard to get rid of because apparently pregnancy, pushing out a baby, getting stitches, cracked nips and sleep deprivation isn't enough fun. Gotta exercise also. 🥲

There is nothing more humbling than being helpless

There is nothing more humbling than being helpless and vulnerable in the hospital. The first night after delivery, I was so weak I couldn't stop shivering and I had blood dripping as I walked to the bathroom. The nurses supported me all the way through, seeing me at my worst, without any judgment.
And this is every single day of their career, not just to me but to every patient that comes in. May God grant you Jannah one day, our medical frontliners because we humans sure can't repay everything that you do for society. Thank you to the maternity ward staff at @kpjdamansarahospital for EVERYTHING, I miss you already 🥲💜 #notasponsoredpost

I had pregnancy pains throughout the 9 months and I also had severe back pain - scoliosis + twisted pelvis.
